My mother is a Shimek/Simek. Her parents were Sigmund and Justina:

Sigmund Ignac Shimek (Sig) Born May 9, 1900 in Fayetteville Texas. Died Aug 28, 1954 El Campo Texas.

• Ignac (Ignaz) Simek, born May 2, 1874 in Borovice Austria.

• Veronica Holub
  • Valentine Holub - and a leader of the group moving to Fayetteville. Born Sept 7, 1822.
  • Mariana (Mary)y ~

Justina Agnes Dornak (Eunice) Born Jan 24, 1905 in Hilje Texas - Married Feb 21, 1921 Hilje Texas.

My mother and two of her sisters live near Palacios TX and others of her family live near El Campo TX where many of the Shimeks moved to from Fayetteville. They are working on a family quilt which will have pictures of the ship that brought everyone over and the like.
