LoVella Truhitte Moore just sent me some new information in regard to the fate of Clarissa and Benjamin, son of James Trewhitt and Mary Ann Guffey:

Hortense Abbott  (Ethel Malinda Trewhitt Triplett, daughter of James and Mary Ann Guffey Trewhitt was Hortense's ggrandmother).  From Hortense Abbott's book:  Trewhitt Families:

"Benjamin Trewhitt, 12th child of James M. and Mary Ann Guffey Trewhitt, was born 7 April 1856 in Hartford, Putnam County, Missouri.  Married Clarissa Elizabeth Guffey, his cousin, 8 Dec. 1875, in Crawford County, Arkansas.  She was born 2 Jan, 1854 in Sullivan Co., MO  to Richard and Angeletta Jones Guffey.  They had 2 little girls born in Uniontown, Arkansas.

Clarissa died in 1930 and is buried in the Buffington Cemetery.  Benjamin's mother was living with him in Uniontown when she died.  After Clarissa's death, Benjamin lived with his niece, BIDDIE  for a while.  He died 7 November 1944 and is buried in Stillwell, Oklahoma.  He was a Baptist minister."

Hortense also has BIDDIE Marinia Trewhitt 16 July, 1874, married Arlinzo Leonard Hagle 9 Sept 1903 in Stroud, Oklahoma.  They had several children and they as well as their children are listed.  Biddie was the daughter of John Trewhitt, married to Manilla Ann Capps in 1873.  John died 1915 in Depew, Creek County, Oklahoma.
