Finally, huge ELF radiation power outputs of 100,000 times the Sun's output in visible light may be radiated by magnetars. The pulsar in the Crab nebula radiates powers of this order at the frequency 30 hertz[1]. Radiation of this frequency is below the plasma frequency of the interstellar medium, thus this medium is opaque to it, and it cannot be observed from Earth.

Satellite observations of electromagnetic perturbations related to earthquakes - It is shown that during the night the observed intensity of electromagnetic waves decreases by 4-6 dB shortly before earthquakes (up to 4 hours before the time of the main shock).

ULF Geomagnetic Pulsation Monitoring - Do you know of anyone using such arrays for ULF astronomy, or for imaging the earth's interior? There are many broadband magnetometer arrays ("broadband" here meaning 0 to 100 kHz). It seems that widely separated arrays could be used together to put bounds on astronomical sources, or for providing information on electromagnetic properties of the earth's deep interior. There is quite a bit of material on the interior problem, so I am particularly trying to find out what is being done in ULF astronomy - either earth-based or satellite-based.
