The first in the line of Guffeys was Alexander Govouch from Ireland b.1681. Then it went to McGuffey, then Guffey. I don't know if this is our family, but it was very interesting. I went through Rootsweb.com and the world connect. Then I went to the descendants. There are 6 pages. You guys are very lucky to have a written record and I don't. Hope this is some help.
